"The Preachers chiefly shall take heed that they teach nothing in their preaching, which they would have the people religiously to observe and believe, but that which is agreeable to the Doctrine of the Old Testament and the New, and that which the Catholick Fathers and Ancient Bishops have gathered out of that Doctrine." Bishop Iker on the Radio

Today an excellent interview with the Rt Rev. Jack Leo Iker, bishop of Fort Worth, was broadcast on Public Radio. It may be heard here, along with an interview with Katharine Jefferts Schori, presiding bishop-elect. (Hat tip to the Common Anglican.)

A most interesting contrast. I felt Bp. Iker came off rather better, despite what I took to be some passive aggression from the interviewer over WO. Schori just sounds kind of creepy... her voice is deep and weird and kind of hypnotic.
