Pictures of PB Schori's Investiture This Morning
There were, of course, liturgical dancers cavorting before the altar of the Lord...
And streamers in abundance at the National Cathedral ...
There were lovely vestments to be seen, in a charming variety of colors (one need not be limited by the liturgical seasons, after all)...
And a joyful noise was made unto the Lord by these fellows.
You can collect all the images of this historic day here.

Let's not leave out the lovely lasses frolicking about (some of them riding piggyback!) with Grecian urns with holy water in them. Now that was special!
Aiiieee! Who made the vestments? Because purple and yellow are complementary colors and tend to, like, clash...
When you told me you had posted, I thought you would were probably overreacting when you said the vestments were hideous... looks like someone just *had* to use all the rainbow colors. I would almost have preferred Sam's hot pink marbleized number instead :-)
What a fitting reminder of how badly some types of diversity in the Episcopal Church clash...
"What a glorious day for the King of Israel, when he made an exhibition of himself in the sight of servants and slave-girls as any vulgar clown might do!"
At least there was no similitude of David dancing naked before the Ark.
So which of the bishops did not attend?
