The Dangerous "Gospel" of Joel Osteen

This video from "Sixty Minutes" does a good job of capturing what's wrong with the Joel Osteen's "megachurch" self-help philosophy that substitutes for the Gospel of Jesus Christ for so many Americans.

you and your church spend quite a bit of time criticizing others. Isn't bringing people closer to Jesus in any manner a valiant pursuit ?

The mere fact that his broadcast is family oriented and not divisive, in this day and age, is an achievement, though. And he has gone back to quoting scripture now and then, which he stopped doing for a few years.
