Chrysostom and Gregory the Theologian heading home to Constantinople
Some very good news from Rome this last week--two of the "Three Holy Heirarchs" have been sent "home" to Constantinople. The Pope has returned the relics of SS John Chrysostom and Gregory of Nazianzus to Bartholomew I, the Patriarch of Constantinople, who made a special trip to the Vatican to celebrate the event (see photo above). The relics have been in Rome since the tragic sack of Constantinople by western knights in 1204. May God use this occassion to further the reunion of Christ's Church on earth.
