"The Preachers chiefly shall take heed that they teach nothing in their preaching, which they would have the people religiously to observe and believe, but that which is agreeable to the Doctrine of the Old Testament and the New, and that which the Catholick Fathers and Ancient Bishops have gathered out of that Doctrine." A proposed canon of Elizabeth I, 1571

House of Bishops

Those interested may read the text of a statement produced by ECUSA House of Bishops here. The main points: 1) they pledge not to consecrate any new bishops, regardless of their sexuality, until after GenCon 2006, 2) they pledge not to bless same sex unions or approve rite for such until at least after GenCon 2006, 3) they urge ECUSA's authorities to seriously consider whether or not to send representatives to ACC meetings in the future and, 4) they apologize for acting last year in the Robinson affair without sufficiently consulting with the world-wide Anglican Communion. It remains to be seen what all this will mean.

The Windsor report requested that everyone who voted for robertson and the same sex rites should leave the church. What are we to follow, ECUSA or the Bible......
