Texanglican
"The Preachers chiefly shall take heed that they teach nothing in their preaching, which they would have the people religiously to observe and believe, but that which is agreeable to the Doctrine of the Old Testament and the New, and that which the Catholick Fathers and Ancient Bishops have gathered out of that Doctrine." A proposed canon of Elizabeth I, 1571

Children's VBS at St. Vincent's--The Grand Finale
Tonight the children's Vacation Bible School at St. Vincent's came to a glorious end with a song and dance extravaganza. The "Green Team" even sang an original praise song of their own composition. (Well, actually the tune was "The Beverly Hillbillies" theme, but the lyrics were their own!)
The kids spent the week learning Bible stories in the context of a space adventure called "Galactic Blast." They presented some of what they learned tonight.
Laura, our children's minister, and the other adult volunteers (like the gifted song leader above) did a great job!
The "Galactic Blast" involved being taught, in part, by a green space gorilla named "Galileo." It was a wonderful teaching tool.
Randy Foster, my father, took these great pictures as well as those of the adult class in the post below.
